Our Academy's primary focus is to ensure the readiness of each student for their college experience. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to promote inquiry, improve critical thinking & refine communication skills, ensuring that each student is well-equipped for higher education. Additionally, we offer opportunities for students to earn college credits before graduating from high school, further supporting their academic journey.

Curriculum

ASM is a half-day commitment where students travel to Central High School each day to attend engaging classes and participate in interactive experiences centered around science and medicine. This part-time schedule allows students to immerse themselves in specialized learning while remaining active in their home high schools.

Our dedicated faculty are committed to guiding students through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates science, communication, and essential life skills. This holistic approach ensures that students not only gain deep knowledge in their chosen fields but they also develop critical competencies that are crucial for their future success in college and careers.

Each year, students will enroll in courses tailored to their academic level, designed to enhance their communication, scientific understanding, research abilities, technical writing, and reasoning skills. These courses build progressively upon each other, equipping students with the expertise and experience needed to excel in science, medicine, or any chosen career path.

Our alumni are spread across the world and are pursuing various roles from Veterinarians, Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Radiologists, Biologists, Chemists, Physicists, Microbiologists, Engineers, etc. You'll find them making impactful contributions in renowned healthcare systems, prestigious universities, and within various scientific sectors.

Remarkably, 100% of our alumni attend college, with 80% graduating with an undergraduate degree within four years—many at the top of their classes. Since 2011, our alumni have collectively secured tens of millions of dollars in scholarship funds, with $4 million awarded to the 2024 graduating class alone. Recruiting Now

ASM opens applications to 8th graders each fall to secure their spot for their upcoming Freshman year. 10th graders are also invited to apply each fall. Applications typically open in October and close December 31st. If you have a passion for science or medicine and plan to attend college, applying to ASM is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you!

In the fall, we host a select number of recruiting events specifically for 8th graders. These events will help you determine if ASM is the right fit for you. You'll have the chance to meet prospective students and current ASM students from schools across the EVSC, Vanderburgh County, and surrounding areas.
